The shore based rescue swimmer program provides the student training on how to evaluate the rescue environment, make a go/no go decision, how to enter and make contact with victims in the water, how to conduct an open water search, how to deal with in water medical considerations, and swimming techniques.  This class is geared towards making rescues within the near shore environment.  

This is a great class for both firefighters and law enforcement.   

This two day class utilizes a curriculum designed from components of NFPA 1006, USCG rescue swimmer program, and current life guarding techniques.   


Equipment needs: Dive mask, snorkel, dry or wetsuit, fins, neoprene gloves,  booties, hood, PFD.
